Job Title: Grade B Security Officer – Gauteng Deployment

Job Purpose

As a Grade B Security Officer, your primary responsibility is supervision, access control, and protection of life and property at strategic commercial, residential, or government sites.

This includes:

• Commanding shift teams

• Acting as site supervisor

• Managing compliance and discipline

• Delivering quality client service under pressure

You will uphold the image and professional standards of TSU International at all times and may be deployed to sensitive or VIP locations based on your performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision

   • Supervise a team of Grade C and D officers on-site

   • Conduct daily team briefings and shift handovers

   • Ensure PSIRA compliance across the team

2. Access and Perimeter Control

   • Control entry and exit of staff, contractors, and visitors

   • Maintain security logs, registers, and sign-in processes

3. Incident Response

   • Respond to alarms, threats, or disturbances

   • Investigate and report suspicious activities or individuals

   • Administer basic first aid and emergency support when required

4. Equipment Checks

   • Monitor and report CCTV, radios, and panic systems

   • Inspect and sign off on security gear and patrol systems

5. Compliance & Documentation

   • Submit accurate incident, handover, and shift reports

   • Enforce site rules, protocols, and health & safety regulations

6. VIP Protection (If Deployed)

   • Escort high-value clients or assets

   • Manage security at VIP events or functions

• Firearm Competency Certificate (Handgun/Shotgun/Self-Loading Rifle)

• Valid Driver’s License – Code 08 or higher

• Previous Armed Response or Tactical Experience

• Computer literacy (reporting tools, cameras, email, etc.)
