Minimum Requirements

To qualify for one of the 38 SANRAL call centre vacancies, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • NQF Level 5 Qualification in:

    • Contact Centre Management

    • Customer Service

    • Office Administration

    • Public Relations

    • OR any relevant field

  • Proficient in English (Additional South African languages are an advantage)

  • Computer Literate (Microsoft Office Suite)

  • Previous Contact Centre experience is advantageous

  • Familiarity with CRM tools like Avaya, SMARTZ is a bonus

  • Excellent communication and data capturing skills

  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays

Note: Fresh graduates with an NQF 5 qualification in relevant fields are encouraged to apply.


Duties and Responsibilities

As a SANRAL Call Centre Agent, you will serve as the first point of contact for road users across the country. Your role will include the following key responsibilities:

Core Functions:

  • ☎️ Answer inbound calls and provide accurate information to customers

  • Log and resolve customer queries using the CRM system

  • Update and maintain customer records on the database

  • ❗ Escalate unresolved issues to supervisors as needed

  • ️ Respond to emails and social media queries

  • ️ Offer guidance on e-toll accounts, road infrastructure updates, and more

  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure high-quality service

Work Location & Schedule

  • Shift Work: Monday–Sunday rotational shifts (day and evening)
