Born on April 8, 1979, Keabetswe “KB” Motsilanyane, sometimes referred to as KB Mamosadi, is a South African actress, singer, businesswoman, and performer.She writes songs and performs R&B vocals. Her most well-known roles as an actress have been in the hit serials Backstage, Rhythm City, and 7de Laan.

Career

With six albums under her belt, Motsilanyane has become a well-known recording artist in South Africa. Alongside Eve, Sibongile Khumalo, Busta Rhymes, Beyonce, Prime Circle, Ashanti, Dwele, and Brandy, she has performed in stadia alongside both domestic and foreign performers. As she joined the South African ensemble Crowded Crew, which rose to fame in the late 1990s, her musical career got underway. While playing herself on the e-TV serial opera Backstage in 2001, Motsilanyane also released her debut album, Beautiful Vibrations (2002), which included the popular song “O A lla” and gave her the stage moniker Mamosadi.

Theater productions marked the beginning of her performing career in 1999. Her most well-known part was that of KayBee in the television series Backstage. Following her exit from the show, she portrayed Lucilla Vilakazi in the widely watched TV series Rhythm City.She joined the show as a regular cast member and remained there till 2015. She participated in the Soweto Fashion Week runway in 2015. She debuted as a fiery lawyer named Lesedi in the well-liked Afrikaans soap opera 7de Laan in South Africa in 2017. In addition, she played Dibuseng Makwarela in the second season of the television series Thola.
