Overview of the Job:
We are looking to add highly qualified and seasoned security officers to our Pretoria team. Maintaining the safety and security of our clients’ properties, assets, and employees will be your duty as a security officer. Working closely with our clients, responding to security breaches, and delivering outstanding customer service are all necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain the safety and security of our clients’ premises, assets, and personnel.
2. Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and respond to potential security threats.
3. Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to security breaches.
4. Respond to security incidents, such as break-ins, theft, or vandalism, and take necessary action to resolve the situation.
5. Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, including responding to their queries and concerns.
6. Work closely with our clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored security solutions.
7. Maintain accurate records of security incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.
8. Collaborate with other security personnel, including supervisors and managers, to ensure effective security operations.
9. Stay up-to-date with security procedures, protocols, and technologies to ensure effective security operations.
10. Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
1. Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
2. PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) registration.
3. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a security officer.
4. Basic life support and first aid training.
5. Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
8. Physical fitness and ability to perform duties that require standing, walking, and running.
9. Knowledge of security procedures, protocols, and technologies.
10. Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Post-secondary qualification in security management or a related field.
2. Advanced life support and first aid training.
3. Experience in a supervisory or management role.
4. Knowledge of CCTV systems, access control, and alarm systems.
5. Proficiency in an additional language (spoken and written).
