Mpho Wa Badimo Opens Up About Her Ex Boyfriend

Former Big Brother Mzansi winner Mpho Wa Badimo has recently opened up about her tumultuous relationship with ex-partner Themba Broly, shedding light on the challenges she faced and her ongoing healing process.

In a candid interview with DRUM magazine, Mpho discussed her appearance on Themba’s reality TV show, “Themba: My Inked World,” where she made startling revelations about their relationship. She spoke about Themba’s alleged drug use and the abuse she endured, claims that Themba has denied on the show. Mpho described the experience of watching the episode as reliving a painful chapter of her life. “Talking about this on the show was like removing myself from something that had put me down for so long,” she said. “That chapter of my life is gone. Watching it yesterday was reliving what I had buried in my past.”

Reflecting on her experiences, Mpho shared valuable lessons learned. She emphasized the importance of not trying to “fix” others in relationships and knowing when to leave. Her powerful message to other women was clear: “Don’t be the victim of your story, but a victor.”

The well-known sangoma detailed her efforts to prevent Themba’s drug use, including attempts to keep him at home and reaching out to his family. However, these actions often backfired, with accusations that she was funding his habit. Regarding her relationship with Themba’s family, Mpho described it as “chaotic and toxic.” The strained dynamics between both families have been publicly displayed on the show, leading to further complications.

Despite facing criticism from viewers who believe she should allow Themba access to the child, Mpho remains resolute in her decision. She stated, “I wish him well. There are absolutely no grudges I hold against him. But I don’t think I am in a place to allow him into my personal space.” Mpho stressed the importance of maintaining distance as she continues to heal. “This is not something that happened so long ago; it has been two years now. It is still very fresh, and the wounds are fresh. Right now, everyone should just keep their distance,” she asserted.

Mpho has taken a firm stance on keeping her child separate from Themba and his family. She explained, “Our relationship and everything were so public, so it is better that when he (her son) grows up, he will get to see it for himself.” She emphasized her role as a mother and her right to make decisions for her child’s well-being.

The mother of two is now focused on caring for her children and moving forward with her life. She hopes that by sharing her story, other women in similar situations can find strength and inspiration. Mpho’s journey serves as a reminder of the complexities of relationships and the importance of prioritizing one’s well-being and that of one’s children. As she continues to heal, her story resonates with many who have faced similar challenges in their personal lives.
