Job Description – What You’ll Be Doing
As a Security Officer at SH Protection, your daily responsibilities will include:
✅ Access control – allowing entry only to authorized individuals
✅ Patrolling premises to detect and prevent unauthorized activities
✅ Monitoring CCTV systems and alarm panels
✅ Writing daily occurrence reports (DORs)
✅ Responding to emergencies, incidents, and suspicious behavior
✅ Performing searches at entrances and exits
✅ Enforcing safety procedures and protocols
✅ Customer service at entrances and lobbies
✅ Assisting SAPS or EMS during critical incidents
This role may require you to work day/night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
✅ Minimum Requirements
Before you apply, make sure you meet these core requirements:
✅ PSIRA registered (minimum Grade C)
✅ Grade 10 or Grade 12 (Matric)
✅ South African ID or valid work permit
✅ Clean criminal record
✅ Must be medically fit and able to stand long hours
✅ Fluent in English or at least one South African language
✅ Professional appearance and communication
✅ Willing to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
Higher grades (Grade B or A) may be considered for supervisory roles or high-risk sites.
Preferred but Not Required
Valid firearm competency (if applying for armed sites)
6+ months of prior guarding or retail security experience
Ability to write reports and communicate via radio
Driver’s license (code 8 or higher)

Johannesburg CBD & Braamfontein
Pretoria Central & Soshanguve
Soweto (retail & residential complexes)
Centurion & Midrand (office parks, warehouses)
Germiston & Boksburg (industrial security)
Randburg & Roodepoort
Mamelodi, Tembisa, Thembisa Mall
Sites include logistics warehouses, gated communities, malls, office parks, and construction sites.
Salary & Benefits
Your hard work will be rewarded with competitive pay and job stability.
Estimated Salary Package:
Grade C: R5,500 – R7,000/month
Grade B: R6,000 – R8,500/month
Grade A: R7,000 – R10,000/month
